There
were other covers for this book including the NEL paperback
from 1983 and a wonderful Chris Achilleos picture that was turned
down.
We
will try to link to it or post it here.

Author
Comment:
Grudgingly
published by Faber, who wanted me to write meaningful fiction about
women in society and not mess around with SF, I still feel the book
deserved more support.
Tom
Hutchinson in the Times (I think it was the Times) gave it an all-out
rave, comparing me with Stanislav Lem – which should have
impressed FF (they used to publish him) if anyone there had been
able to recall who he was. |
